EUROPEAN EXCLUSIVITY : GET C5 CLASS FOR DJI MAVIC 3 (ENTERPRISE/PRO/PRO CINE)
Dronavia is proud to offer exclusive C5 class compliance (EASA) for DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise / Pro / Pro Cine (C2) drones, thanks to the Kronos MVC3 conversion kit, composed a Parachute Recovery System (PRS) and an internal Flight Termination System (FTS).
C5 Class conversion kit, what is it?
The C5 conversion kit is the result of more than 8 years of research and innovation, and extensive regulatory monitoring. This conversion kit has been designed to offer professional drone operators a safety solution that is quick to implement, easy to re-use with the POD system and, above all, complies with the latest European standards published by the EASA (C5 class / MOC 2512 (M2) / MOC 2511 conversion kit), opening the way to flight in STS-01 scenarios in specific categories.
The Kronos MVC3 system includes a Parachute Recovery System (PRS) and internal Flight Termination System (FTS) available for the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise (3T/3E/3M) and DJI Mavic 3 Pro (Pro / Pro Cine).
Combined, these systems cut the drone’s power supply before slowing its rate of descent to reduce its energy at impact, in the event of problems such as severe weather conditions, radio transmission failure, technical failure of the propulsion system or loss of GPS signal.
PRS-FTS-MOC Kronos AD Mavic 3 converts all Mavic 3 Enterprise/Pro/Pro Cine drones
to the C5 class. Gautier Veltri gives you all the details in this video.
How to convert your C2 class drone into a C5 class ?
To obtain C5 class label marking for your DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise (3E / 3T / 3M) & Pro (Pro / Pro Cine) drone, the operator doesn’t need to install an accessories kit directly on his drone, but to convert it from C2 to C5 class.
To carry out this conversion, the DJI Mavic 3 drone must pass through our workshop (or that of an authorized reseller) so that our experts can install an internal Flight Termination System (FTS).
So, equipped with our PRS + FTS conversion kit (PRS-FTS-MOC Kronos AD Mavic 3), the DJI Mavic 3E drone becomes a Kronos AD Mavic 3E drone, the DJI Mavic 3T drone becomes a Kronos AD Mavic 3T drone and finally the DJI Mavic 3M drone becomes a Kronos AD Mavic 3M drone (same applies to the DJI Mavic 3 Pro range).
All that remains is to declare your drone for the STS-01 scenario, and you’re ready to fly in the specific category.
It is essential that your safety accessories are present on your drone during all your flights, otherwise the competent national authority may impose sanctions.
when I convert my drone from C2 to C5 class, do I keep the DJI warranty?
In the event of a DJI after-sales service for your C5 class DJI Mavic 3, you retain your DJI warranty. Simply disassemble the entire C5 conversion kit (PRS + FTS) before sending it in under warranty. A return to Dronavia or one of its authorized resellers is necessary to dismantle the internal Flight Termination System (FTS).
what’s the advantage to flying in C5 class?
When a DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise / Pro / Pro Cine drone is upgraded to C5 class using the Kronos MVC3 conversion kit, it can :
- Fly legally and safely in the specific category STS-01 flight scenario, meeting EASA expectations. C5 class and compliance with the standard imposed by EASA also enable remote pilots to benefit from the best risk management and safety measures.
When a DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise / Pro / Pro Cine drone becomes C5 class thanks to the Kronos MVC3 conversion kit, it also complies with MOC2512 (M2) and MOC2511 and can :
- Enable the development of a SORA (Special Operations Risk Assessment) or PDRA (Pre-Defined Risk Assessment) to unlock even more complex flight missions, which would not fit into the STS-01 flight scenario. Dronavia has already enabled several professional drone pilots to validate their SORA or PDRA applications. Dronavia provides compliance documents.
